Argentina Authorizes AstraZeneca's Coronavirus Vaccine

The National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technologies (Anmat) of Argentina has authorized the vaccine against the coronavirus developed by Oxford and the AstraZeneca laboratory.
With Regulation 9271/20, Anmat approved "the registration of the product Covid-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca and generic name Vaccine against Covid-19 recombinant ChAdOx1-S, of the company AstraZeneca SA  in the Register of Medicinal Products (Rem)".

According to the agency, "the aforementioned product has an acceptable risk/benefit ratio, which makes it possible to justify the granting of the registration and conditional authorization of the product for the requested indication. It was granted for a period of one year from the date of that provision, under the conditions of sale with prescription

On December 23, Anmat approved the use in Argentina of the vaccine developed by Pfizer laboratories, while yesterday, the Russian vaccine Sputnik V. administration began throughout the country.
