Greece Extends Quarantine upon Entry

In the future, travelers to Greece will have to go into quarantine for seven days after their arrival. This also applies to citizens from EU countries. So far, the quarantine has been three days. The new measure will come into force at midnight and will initially apply until January 21, said Athens' civil aviation authority.

Since the beginning of November, Greece has been in a lockdown, which was only eased slightly over the Christmas holidays. The country was initially not so severely affected by the pandemic, but the numbers have increased significantly since autumn.
